Contemporary Kitchen Remodel
This kitchen was cute and comfortable with good functionality and space, but it lacked the sleek, sophisticated style needed to match the homeowners’ personalities. The layout worked but the finishes and appliances needed a modern-day update. The list of priorities included more storage, an apron sink and quartz countertops. The transformation also added matching upper cabinets in wood and glass, stainless-steel appliances and an intricately patterned mosaic backsplash. The piece de resistance was replacing the small mass-produced table with a custom kitchen island with deep drawers for spacious storage and a built-in wine cooler. This is now the focal point of the room and the envy of all the homeowners’ friends and neighbors.
Modern Country Kitchen Remodel
The old kitchen had the look and layout that was so ubiquitous of condo’s built in the 1970s. Brown cabinets, fluorescent lighting and vinyl flooring created dark shadows and corners that made the room feel stale and gloomy. We took down the overhang of cabinets which expanded the visual space, relocated the refrigerator and immediately made it spacious and bright. The existing cabinets were reused and painted a cool sage green and with a glaze finish. The backsplash is tiled with mosaic detail. Stainless steel appliances and granite countertops gleam under carefully hung pendant lamps. By combining two style elements for distinct design appeal, we received a “wow, what a difference!” reaction from the homeowner. The wood-grain and the newer materials juxtapose elegantly in this modern country kitchen.
Inviting Kitchen Remodel
The 70′s whitewashed cabinets and mismatching appliances in this kitchen lacked the inviting allure the homeowners desired. A major update was required to transform the room from an impersonal space to one that encouraged gathering. We added modern honey-hued maple cabinetry, granite backsplash and countertops, even granite molding along the baseboard, and we tied it all together with brushed stainless steel accents. Now the family and guests can pull up a comfy barstool to the kitchen bar to enjoy the contents of a built-in wine chiller and each others company.
